Salmon is a fish that is good for us because it contains fat in the form of Omega 3. Our body needs two fatty acids to function properly. They are Omega 3 and Omega 6. But your body does not product these fatty acids and that is why we need to eat the right foods to provide out bodies with the Omega 3 and Omega 6 fats.
You get Omega 6 fats from grains, processed foods, and some vegetable oils. The problem is that people are eating way to many of these fats.
You get Omega 3 fats from green leafy vegetable, wild salmon, walnuts, and organic eggs. Unfortunately people are not eating enough of these foods.
Now your body wants to see a ratio of 1 Omega 3 fat to 4 Omega 6 fat. But since we consume more Omega 6 fats in the form of grains and processed foods our Omega fats are not balanced.
One of the processes your body uses Omega 3 for is to burn fat. So consuming more of the Omega 3 foods will help our metabolism to burn more fat as part of our easy weight loss program.
In the morning you can include Omega 3 in the form of organic eggs with your breakfast. You can snack on walnuts. For Lunch you could include a portion of salmon.
I caution you not to go over board with Omega 3. You need to keep it balanced as discussed in the video below. Just have a couple portions of Omega 3 per day to meet your daily requirement.
