I know how difficult it can be to have the desire to lose weight, then not follow through with it or make a very poor attempt at it. Most all the motivation experts are all saying the same thing today! You see, there really is no secret or “magic bullet” for overcoming the characteristic of losing weight procrastination. For those that are successful it comes down to a simple thing “TAKING ACTION”! Do not make excuses! There is no reasons! It is just a matter of just doing it!
You Must Take Action
This maybe hard to accept but you are totally responsible for losing weight, weight loss exercising, and whether you meet your goals! The choice is yours. Your weight loss is the result of your daily choices when it comes to eating and working out.
You have to take action to overcome all the negative self-talk you have with yourself. You have to keep positive thought in your mind such as I can eat the right foods, I will exercise each day, I will read about weight loss success stories to keep me motivated, and I will reward myself when I meet a goal.
There will be many temptations to keep you from reaching your goals but do not give up. Keep taking action to make your goals. It is your choice, so try and make the right choice.
For example, you set a goal to exercise first thing in the morning. You start out being committed. But when the alarm goes off you hit the snooze button and put off the exercise. You just blew it. Ask yourself, “Are you really committed?” This is why some 95% of people fail to meet their goal to lose weight and get into shape.
But if you are really committed you will make yourself get up and do that workout because you know it will help you get fit and burn that belly fat. The commitment is for the rest of your life. It is an ongoing commitment that will make you successful.
Put A Picture In Your Mind How You Want To Look
You must keep a very clear picture in your mind of how you want to look. You could even post a picture of someone else that you want to look like. You should review that picture every morning so you have clear view of how you want to look when you reach your easy weight loss goals. If you do not do this you will not loss those 15 pounds and will not be able to wear those smaller clothes you dream about.
It is going to be a lot of hard work but do not let yourself drift from the way you want to look and your weight loss and fitness goal. Each little accomplishment that happens should be looked as a victory and you should reinforce your mindset to be successful and achieve that goal.
Arnold Schwarzenegger stated,
“I can zero in on a vision of where I want to be in the future. I can see it so clearly in front of me, when I daydream, it’s almost a reality. Then I get this easy feeling, and I don’t have to be uptight to get there because I already feel like I’m there, that it’s just a matter of time. Turn Negative Thoughts Into Positive Thoughts
You may have heard this one before, but you must work on having a positive mental attitude (PMA) in your life!
